Mission Statement

The purpose of the Union Baptist Temple is to worship the Almighty God, His Word, and to fulfill the
"great commission" to reach men, women and children as God commands. The church is also dedicated to promote the spiritual, social, civic and moral advancement of the community.

Union Baptist Temple's mission is to minister to the spiritual, physical emotional and psychological needs of its member; to address the primary concerns of this gathered community; to edify and equip the members for discipleship and personal ministry through the preaching of God's Word, and the provision of as many weekly opportunities for Bible Study and Christian Education as possible.

Union Baptist Temple also exists to evangelize non-Christians who are in the communities, and states in which the church membership is civically located, and to reach and teach "the world" through television, radio, and the internet, Witnessing Teams and various other educational, community service, and church outreach ministries.

"TO KNOW HIM AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN"

"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus."
- Colossians 1:26-28
